As the Equipment Engineer II at our Corporate Headquarters in Paris, IL., and our Signal and Forward Lighting Plant in Muscle Shoals, AL., you will utilize your experience and talents to work with Equipment Engineers who design, specify, and develop equipment required to support production requirements, specifically focused on new technologies, equipment standards, equipment controls, and strategic development of new equipment concepts. Evaluate assembly equipment and standards to improve performance, cost, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works with New Technology, Controls, Standards Equipment Engineers, and plant Equipment Engineers to ensure timely support on new product launches and all other assigned projects
  • Provides on-site support at NAL plants and equipment vendors when additional Equipment Engineering resource is required
  • Assists in feasibility studies and analysis of the New Technology Equipment Engineers and plant Equipment Engineers related to their projects
  • Develops and implements Equipment Engineering processes, procedures, and standards
  • Provides technical support in the following areas:
    a. To establish process capability during new equipment start-up
    b. To manufacturing to maintain process capability
    c. For continuous improvement of production equipment and processes

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or related discipline

2 to 4 years of experience in equipment design and/or implementation within manufacturing
Experience in manufacturing
