NAL President and COO, Kirk Gadberry, delivers a message to Team Members and shares what to expect when returning to work:

It’s good to be with you, I wish I could be with you in person but that is just not to be. This past week we saw a few vehicles being produced with more production coming on-line next week. I’m hopeful that we’ll begin somewhat regular manufacturing perhaps by the end of May or maybe beginning of June. We have been and will continue to be calling members back to work as soon as possible. As you know, we can’t do this without you. NAL is the number one automotive lighting company in North America and that is because of you.

As we mentioned previously, work is going to look a little different when you return. We’re doing brief health screens [temperature checks] prior to entering the plant or office. As a reminder, if you’ve been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, if you’re feeling ill at all, if you have a temperature, cough, shortness of breath or if you’ve recently lost your sense of taste or smell, please stay home and contact your HR departments as soon as possible.

We’ve been doing a limited number of health screens this past week with our Team Members that have come back to work, and we’ve continued to streamline that process and make it as is efficient as possible. So far, we’re not seeing any lengthy delays so please do not feel obligated to report to work excessively early in an effort to avoid a long line. We just don’t think that you’re going to see a long line.

Finally, please stay healthy, wear your masks and remember we’re all under a lot of stress. Please be kind, courteous and respectful to everyone you work with, be it at home, work or in the grocery store.
