PARIS, IL (JUNE 1, 2022) – North American Lighting, Inc.’s (NAL) Paris Plant celebrates 20 years of automotive lighting manufacturing.
The NAL facility was built in 2002 and specializes in manufacturing headlights using advanced technologies. The first lamps were shipped from the Paris Plant on June 11, 2002.
In the last 20 years, the plant has seen tremendous growth and undergone multiple expansions (2005, 2007, 2013, 2018, and 2019). The advanced forward lighting plant now has roughly 540,000 square feet of manufacturing space and employs over 1,400 Team Members. NAL’s Corporate Office has also been headquartered in Paris since 2005 when it relocated from Flora, IL.

“I can remember the days when we carried our own lawn chairs and coolers of snacks and drinks to the break area outside, and the day we no longer had to wear hard hats due to construction,” recalled Toni Dye, Plant Quality Control Supervisor. “After working at NAL for 20 years, I can say we have some of the best pay in this area with outstanding benefits. I have met some amazing people with whom I’ve developed friendships with outside of work and have watched their children & grandchildren grow up. NAL has been a good job in providing for the health and welfare of my family, and to save for my retirement.”
The Paris Plant celebrated its 20-year anniversary with a Team Member Appreciation Open House on Sunday, May 15. Team Members were invited to bring their families and friends to enjoy refreshments and tour the state-of-the art facility. The event was also open to the public for potential Team Members to get a unique, inside look at the company.
