Overview

As the Manager Plant Human Resources at our Advanced Forward Lighting Plant in Paris, IL., you will utilize your experience and talents to plan, direct, and manage all HR functions and activities in the plant relating to recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, health and safety programs, and other activities needed to carry out the company’s human resources strategies and programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Oversees the daily activities and assigns work for the Plant HR Department staff
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and governmental legislations
  • Directs all employee relations activities and promotes community relations
  • Manages and/or conducts employee counseling and employee disciplinary actions, and ensures employees’ right to exercise the “open door policy”
  • Provides counsel to managers and supervisors on HR policies, programs, and procedures to ensure fair and consistent application and employee treatment
  • Oversees and/or performs employee recruiting, as well as the administration of plant wage and salary activities, employee benefits, paid time off, and workers’ compensation programs
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline

(Master’s Degree is preferred)

8 to 10 years of experience in Human Resources, including 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory role (experience in manufacturing is preferred)
