Overview

As the Senior Buyer at our Corporate Headquarters in Paris, IL, you will utilize your experience and talents to purchase production materials, components, equipment, tooling, MRO items, and services utilizing new and/or existing suppliers in support of the company’s operations, and manages quality, cost, and on-time delivery of goods and services of assigned supply base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Negotiates supply contracts that meet or exceed supply, material quality, and commercial goals and objectives as set by the company
  • Prepares and issues RFQ’s to suppliers for new and existing materials and services
  • Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
  • Studies market trends, interviews vendors, and identifies new domestic and global suppliers
  • Works with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) for source selection and Kaizen activities
Requirements

BA/BS in Business or a related discipline (Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred)

4 to 6 years of professional experience in purchasing or a related function

(Experience in global sourcing, and evaluating and monitoring vendor performance preferred)
